Caren Lee Blackburn, a cherished mother, grandmother, and devoted caregiver, passed away on May 30, 2026. Born on April 23, 1960, Caren’s life was marked by her unwavering kindness, generosity, and her deep love for family and community.

A graduate of West Carrollton High School, Caren dedicated many years of her life to working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where her compassionate nature truly shone. She was known not only for her professional care but also for her ability to bring comfort and joy to those around her.

Caren’s passions were as vibrant as her spirit. She treasured her role as a mother and grandmother, finding great joy in spending time with her grandchildren. Playing cards with family was one of her favorite pastimes, as was sewing and making blankets that warmed both body and heart. A lover of music and dance, Caren delighted in any tune that invited movement and celebration. Her unique collections of antiques, especially oil lamps, frogs, and Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, showcased her whimsical and affectionate personality. Gardening was another of her talents, and those who knew her recognized her green thumb and nurturing touch with houseplants.

Above all, Caren was a kind and giving person who would go to great lengths to help those in need or simply to bring a smile to someone’s face. Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Caren is survived by her beloved son, Ryan M. Blackburn, and his wife, Julie; her three daughters, Cindi L. Musgraves and her husband Myles, Sara E. Massey, and Megan L. Massey; and five treasured grandchildren, Michael Blackburn, Matthew Blackburn, Presten Pierson, Makaylyn Massey, and Myles Massey. She also leaves behind her sister, Connie Horner and her husband Samuel, as well as her partner, Gregory Chessman. Caren is further survived by numerous family members and friends who carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Lee Blackburn; father, Gerald E. Blackburn; brother, Gregory Blackburn; and William Massey, the father of her children.
