C. Jeffery Vance

C. Jeffery Vance, a father, grandfather, and devoted friend, left us far too soon on November 28, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on May 20, 1968, in Dayton, Ohio, Jeff was a beacon of love and strength throughout his life, impacting everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jeff had a long and fulfilling career as a cook, and his talents and passion in the kitchen extended to his personal life when cooking for family and friends.

He embraced life with humility and perseverance, which he instilled in his family. Jeff was a proud alumnus of West Carrollton High School, where he began to cultivate his love for sports, an enthusiasm that resonated throughout his life. An avid sports lover, Jeff's heart beat strongest for football, and he relished playing golf whenever he could. His unwavering support for Pittsburgh sports and the Cincinnati Reds was a testament to his spirited nature. However, above all else, Jeff cherished his role as a father and grandfather, demonstrating deep love and devotion to his family.

Family was at the core of who Jeff was. He relished every moment spent with his two daughters, Jordan N. (Nick Dodd) Vance and Taylor K. (Alex) Holtmeier, and his son, Anthony M. (Chloe McGohan) Vance. He was blessed with a beautiful granddaughter, Noah Holtmeier, and twin grandsons, CJ and Liam Vance. His love for them was palpable, and the legacy of warmth and familial devotion he leaves behind will forever echo in their lives.

Jeff is survived by his loving mother, Judi Vance, and his former wife, Mary K. Vance. He is also survived by a wide circle of friends and family whose lives he touched with kindness and generosity.

He is preceded in death by his father, Norris G. Vance, and his brother, Michael J. Vance. These losses were felt deeply by Jeff, and their memory lived on in the stories he shared and the love he expressed.

A memorial gathering will take place on December 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering, Ohio.
