Byron Gene Drazer Sr.

Byron Gene Drazer Sr., age 82, passed away June 29, 2016 in Dayton, Ohio. He was born to the late Donald and Nancy Drazer on December 12, 1933 in Laporte, Indiana. Gene was a veteran in the United States Army where he served in the Korean War. He worked in automobile sales for over 50 years. Gene started out in the car business with his own used car dealership and later entered the Dayton area at Autobahn VW. He also worked for Morman Pontiac and later retired from Reichard Buick. Gene is survived by his life partner Nellie Goings; five children Lori (Bobby) Taschner, Byron G. (Penny) Drazer Jr., Debra Weaver, Daniel (Jeannie Carr) Drazer, Lisa (Martin) Hoeber; 16 grandchildren Leah, Ashley, Nicole, Brittney, Bryant, Christina, Lindsey, Zachary, Jacqueline, Aaron, Carley, Starri, Daniel, Jacob, Layna, Scarlett; 7 great grandchildren and brother Harold (Nan) Drazer. A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 12pm-1pm with a funeral service to follow at 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
