TURNER, Buster, age 93 of Dayton passed away on April 3, 2016. He was born in Harlan County, KY to the late Myrtle and Frank Turner. He proudly and honorably served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theatre. During his service he earned a Purple Heart and several others.
In addition to his parents, Buster was preced in death by siblings, Joe Turner, Ralph Turner, George Turner, Isabel Boggs, and Ethel Cornett; and step-son, Jim Simpson.
Buster is survived by children, Rita (Jim) Brewer, Linda (Jim) McWilliams, Larry (Kim) Turner, Elizabeth Turner, and Janet (Rod Coffey) Turner; step-children, Ron (Pat) Simpson, Larry (Becky) Simpson, Tim (Jamie) Simpson, Peggie (Bill) Sommers; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Sophia Turner and Maxine Turner; best buddy, Jerry Parker; and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
The Turner family would like to thank the Dayton VA Hospice and Hospice of Dayton for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time. Their devotion to their patients and families is unsurpassable.
