Burt Lee Damron, a devoted family man and respected community member, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on November 26, 1940, in Wilmington, Ohio, Burt lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and service.

Burt was a proud graduate of Wilmington High School and answered the call of duty by serving in the United States Navy for four years aboard the USS Enterprise. Following his honorable military service, he embarked on a career at General Motors, where he spent 30 years contributing to production efforts. His work ethic and commitment continued as he later joined Enterprise Car Rental, dedicating 20 years before retiring in 2024.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Burt was deeply involved in his community; he was a member of the Eagles and a Shriner. He found joy in dancing and had a great appreciation for country music, pursuits that reflected his warm and lively spirit. Above all, Burt took immense pride in his family, which remained the cornerstone of his life.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Pamela; his children Kimberly Damron and Kimberly (Robert) White; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who carry forward his legacy. He is also survived by his sister Janet of Wilmington, Ohio, and his brother Bill of New Vienna, Ohio.

Burt was preceded in death by his daughter Shannon, his parents Holline and Bill Damron, and brothers Gerald Damron and Earl Damron, who remain cherished in his memory.

A visitation to honor Burt’s life will be held on May 23, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio. This will be followed immediately by a memorial service at the same location at 3:00 p.m. Family, friends, and all who knew him are invited to attend and celebrate the life of a man who embodied kindness, devotion, and steadfast love.
