Bruce E. Kinzer

Bruce E. Kinzer, 92 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Bruce was born in Wilmington, Ohio on October 9, 1925 to the late Roland H. and Dorothy Fisher Kinzer and grew up working on his family farm. Bruce was a proud veteran, Corporal in the US Army during WWII stationed in the Philippine Islands and Japan. After the War ended, Bruce returned home and worked as a typesetter at the Dayton Daily Newspaper, from which he retired after 32 years. He was deeply devoted to his Church, East Dayton Christian, where he served as a Deacon for many years. Bruce loved music, sharing stories from his youth with his family, and a good cup of coffee.

In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his second son, Craig Leland Kinzer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Mabel Irene Current Kinzer, children Neil Keith Kinzer and Don Graber, Christoper Lee Kinzer and wife Lisa, Candace Cecilia May Kinzer and Richard Gantner, sister Betty Kinzer Gano, grandchildren Jessica and Ryan Henry, and several nieces, nephews and special friends.

A visitation will be held from 4 - 7pm Sunday, November 19 and funeral services will be held Monday, November 20 at 1pm, both at East Dayton Christian Church, 3415 Linden Avenue, Dayton, Ohio. Following the funeral services, a military burial ceremony will be held at the New Vienna Cemetery. Services provided by Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to East Dayton Christian Church.
