Listen to Obituary

Britt D. Byrne, a man of resolute spirit and unwavering devotion, passed away on April 14, 2026, in Clayton, Ohio. Born on March 7, 1968, in Tipp City, Ohio, Britt’s life journey was marked by strength, loyalty, and an unyielding work ethic that resonated deeply with all who knew him.

For nearly three decades, Britt dedicated himself to Creative Foam, a place where his commitment and hard work forged lasting relationships—most notably with his best friend, Derrick Gunn. His colleagues admired him for his steadfast determination and the reliability he brought to every task. Britt was more than a coworker; he was a pillar of support, rarely wavering in his principles, sometimes characterized by a stubborn streak but always underpinned by a fierce loyalty to those he loved.

Beyond the workplace, Britt’s personality blossomed around his family and passions. He was hard-headed and stubborn, qualities that shaped a man who worked tirelessly to create a better life for his loved ones. His heart was especially generous towards his wife of eleven years, Estelle “CC” Byrne, whom he delighted in spoiling. Britt's daughter Hailey held a special place in his life, too, cherished and adored as part of his closest circle.

His love extended beyond human connections. Britt had a profound affinity for animals, with rabbits, turtles, and frogs capturing his fascination and affection. Nature was a refuge and a playground—he found joy in fishing and camping, activities that spoke to his rugged yet tender side. And when luck called, he was known to try his hand at the casino, embracing life’s moments of thrill and chance with gusto.

Britt’s legacy lives on in his children: Dustin Vissoc, Hailey Byrne, James Hall III, Athena Rhea, and Tabitha Hall-Fugate. His family tree flourishes further with many grandchildren, including Sorcha, Zoey, Ariel, Elena and Gael, who carry pieces of his unbreakable spirit within them. Alongside family, he leaves behind a wide circle of relatives and friends who were touched by his unwavering support and indomitable will.

To honor Britt's memory, visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Both events will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio.  Burial will take place at Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria.

Britt’s life was a testament to the power of perseverance, the importance of family, and the joy to be found in life’s simple pleasures. Though he was hard-headed and stubborn, those who knew him also saw a man of deep love and relentless dedication. In his passing, we are reminded of his enduring influence—a man who gave himself fully and loved fiercely until the very end.
