Brian Wermter

Brian Wermter, born on August 16, 1996, in Springfield, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on May 27, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. He was a young man remembered for his infectious personality and unwavering kindness. Brian had a big heart, loved helping others, and was a good friend to many. His sense of humor and knack for playing jokes brought joy to those around him, making him a beloved figure in the lives he touched.

Brian had a special fondness for his lime green Infiniti car, which reflected both his vibrant spirit and his enthusiasm for life. He found solace in fishing, where he embraced the tranquility of nature and the thrill of the catch. Despite his talents in supporting others through their problems, he often struggled to seek help for himself. This humility endeared him even more to the people who loved him.

Brian is survived by his mother, Roberta (Timmie) Matheny, father, Brian Matheny, siblings, Damien Beck and Alexis (Josh) Jones, along with his cherished niece, Juniper Jones. Grandmothers Pavinee Wermter, Gracie Hill, and Karen Beck played significant roles in his life, while aunts Beverly Matheny and uncles Yuthakorn (Machelle) Wermter, Bruce Matheny, and Jesse Hill provided loving support throughout his years. He will be missed by his cousins Thayvun, Keagan, Aryauna, and Keenen, as well as many other relatives and friends who found solace in his friendship.

Brian was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alan Wermter and Tim Matheny, along with step-father Jeremy Beck, and great-grandma Eileen Pflum, all of whom left a lasting impression in the hearts of those who knew them.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424.

Brian Wermter will be remembered not just for his youthful exuberance but for the love and laughter he brought into the world. His legacy of kindness and humor will live on in the memories of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
