Brenda A. Demoret-Gibson, born on November 23, 1952, in Piqua, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, in, Dayton, Ohio. Brenda was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.
Brenda is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Amy Norrod and Angel (Jonathan) Geiger. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Natalie Gibson, Ian Gibson, Bradley Norrod, Kayden Geiger, Cole Geiger, and Blaine Geiger. She is also survived by her siblings: Richard Demoret, Marilyn Milling, Cynthia Jackson, Rosemary Demoret, and Janet Somsel, who will miss her deeply.
Throughout her life, Brenda was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Dayton, where she made significant contributions organizing the clothing pantry and helping with community dinners. Her dedication to serving others was exemplary and reflected her compassionate spirit. Brenda was also affiliated with Teamsters and took pride in her ability to connect with her community.
A woman of many interests, Brenda engaged in various crafts, including sewing, crocheting, and creating plastic canvas art. She had a passion for collecting baseball cards, comic books, movies, and toys, which brought her immense joy. In addition, she was known for her exceptional cooking skills, often gathering family and friends around her table to share delicious meals and memorable conversations. Brenda found peace in simple pleasures, such as listening to the rain while music played softly in the background.
She was preceded in death by her cherished son, Brian Gibson; her parents, Lloyd and Luella Demoret; and her husband, Donnie Gibson. Brenda also grieved the loss of her brothers Mark, Paul, and Del Demoret, as well as her son-in-law Denny Norrod; her aunt Evelyn Somsel; and special friend Donnie Toms.
Her daughters fondly recall the special moments spent with her on shopping trips and family outings, memories that reflect the love and joy she brought into their lives. Brenda's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
