Brandy Renee Chadwell, born on August 20, 1990, in Dayton, Ohio, departed this life unexpectedly on October 2, 2025, in her hometown. She was a cherished member of her community and is remembered for her kindness, strong work ethic, and unwavering love for her family.
Brandy served as a manager at Valley Thrift, where her dedication and organizational skills stood out. Known for her meticulous nature, Brandy was the most organized person you'd ever meet. Her love for order was such that she would fold her dirty laundry, embodying a level of cleanliness that some might describe as OCD. This attention to detail didn’t just stop at home; it was reflected in everything she did.
Christmas was a particularly special time for Brandy. She absolutely adored shopping for the holidays, often kicking off her shopping for the following year right after the current one wrapped up. Her fiancé, Robert Mitchell, lovingly referred to her as "super woman," a testament to her boundless energy and commitment to her loved ones. Together, they celebrated 18 wonderful years, filled with memories and adventures.
Brandy had a heart of gold. She was known for being generous and had a kind spirit that drew people to her. Her love for babies was evident, and she was truly devoted to nurturing her family. She found joy in simple pleasures: her motorcycle rides with Robert on the bike they built together, and her deep appreciation for soul music and R&B. Brandy was a hard worker, a trait that those close to her admired and respected.
Family was at the center of Brandy’s world. She is survived by her beloved fiancé Robert and their children, Landon Mitchell, Robert Mitchell Jr., and Mackenzie Mitchell. Brandy was also a proud grandma to London, Baylee, and Sevyn. She weathered life’s ups and downs alongside her mother, Donna Brown, her father James (Sylvia) Chadwell, her sister Christian (Frankie) Bane, and her nieces Tiara and Ryliegh. Additionally, she shared many happy moments with her nephew Lil' Frankie "Booter" and numerous cousins, including her special cousins Angel, Alyson, and River.
Brandy was preceded in death by her brother, Christopher Chadwell, and several grandparents, aunts, and uncles, whose warmth and guidance shaped her life.
As we remember Brandy, let us carry forward her legacy of generosity, hard work, and love for family. She will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 16th, 2025 from 5-8pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH 45424. The service will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 10:30am at the funeral home. Brandy will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery.
