In Loving Memory of Branden J. Bland, SR.

Branden “Pete” Bland, SR. was born on October 11, 1986, in Dayton, Ohio. Affectionately known as “Pete” by his family and friends, Branden was educated in the Dayton Public School system and was a proud Ram of Trotwood High School.

Branden was a talented home improvement contractor with a natural gift for working with his hands. He was always willing to take on a project, whether it was replacing an air conditioner, installing flooring or kitchen countertops, remodeling a bathroom, or putting up a fence. Whatever the task, Branden took great pride in his work and found satisfaction in seeing a project come together.

Branden also had creativity and style that were uniquely his own. He took pride in how he dressed and was known for mixing his favorite fragrances, always smelling like a million bucks. His infectious smile, personality, and unmistakable presence are among the many things his family and friends will forever remember.

Although Branden’s life was shortened far too soon, the love he gave will live on, especially through his children. Being their father was one of the most meaningful parts of his life, and the love, memories, laughter, and special moments they shared will remain with them forever.

Branden was many things to many people. He was a loving son and brother, a devoted father, a cherished uncle and nephew, and a loyal friend. He was someone who showed up when he was needed most, and his presence made a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know and love him.

Branden leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, his mother, Paulette (Jessie) Withers, and his father, Kenneth (Cooki) Bland Sr.; and his beloved children, whom he adored: Branden Bland Jr., Ty’auna Bland, Justice Casey, Lavender Lawrence, Brooklyn Lawrence, Brayden Bland, Samya Lawrence, Brennan Bland, Zayden Bland, and Bella Bland. His children will forever carry their father’s love in their hearts and treasure the memories and special moments they shared with him.

He will also be lovingly remembered by his aunts, Lynnette Holmes (Deborah Anderson) and Kia Harrell Wallace; his uncle, Dirk (Tootsie) Dennis; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and a sweet and devoted friend Billie Branch and special friends, Jermaine Johnson, David Farr, and Antwan Slaughter.

Branden was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vivian Ector, Jacqueline Harrell, Thomas Malone Sr., and James Harrell Sr.; his uncle, Carlos Bland Sr.; and his “Big Bro” and brother’s keeper, Kenneth Bland Jr., from whom Branden received the nickname “Pete.”

Branden’s life, his love, and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on through his children, his family, and everyone whose life he touched.

Rest peacefully, Branden ”Pete”. You are deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed.
