Remember who Booker was….
"There are many things that are true about you... The truest thing about you is who you are in Christ"
Booker was an excellent craftsman, who loved working with his hands. He was a Master Carpenter. He would tell you he learned from the best, his father. He worked on several schools and homes throughout the Chicagoland area. He received awards and certification in Blow-Molding and worked as plant manager and Company Trainer at several companies throughout Illinois. In Dayton, Ohio, he worked at Mahle-Behr as a fork-lift driver and in production.
His sense of wit and his brash charm easily won over many people. He was loved and respected throughout his family, community and employers. He was hardworking and always very straight forward. Booker would debate his "Point of View" to his favorite Uncle Al or to anyone listening.
He loved fishing anywhere, any place and anytime, He enjoyed fishing with his brothers, friends and his dad every opportunity he could find. He would take his family fishing when his children were young and enjoyed many fishing trips with his only son, Charles.
He loved his Sunday football and Chicago Bears were his favorite team.
Enjoyed his guns and received certificates for Course completion from his shooting organization.
Not a phone person, but he enjoyed brief calls with his daughters, and family in Chicago. A call from Marietta, Crystal or Charles always perked him up during his illness. He enjoyed and really looked forward to seeing pictures of his grandchildren.
A bit of a gambler, card player and he never backed down from a fight.
He received and accepted prayer with fellowship from Pastor John Maze, Agape Bible Fellowship Church from 2018 to present.
We celebrate his life.
