Bonnie Jean Stafford, a beloved mother, devoted wife, and cherished member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026. Born on December 25, 1939, Bonnie’s life was a testament to love, faith, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Bonnie’s journey through life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family. She was a great mother who did the best she could, always placing the needs and happiness of her children at the forefront. Her love for her husband, Howard C. Stafford, whom she married in 1961, was profound and enduring. Though he passed in 2020, their bond remained a core part of Bonnie’s heart and life.
Her spirit was filled with joy and passion for music and singing, activities that brought her immense happiness throughout her years. Bonnie’s devotion to her faith culminated in a significant and meaningful chapter when she was baptized just last year, a powerful expression of her spiritual journey and steadfast faith.
Family was at the very center of Bonnie’s world. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Mark (Elizabeth) Stafford, Melissa (Doug) Alley, and Michael (Melanie) Stafford, each of whom carries forward her legacy of strength and kindness. Grandchildren—Seth (Jessica), Anna (David), Sarah, Kyle (Ashley), Rachel (Jason), Ashley (Cody), Aaron, Justin (Summer), and Kyle (Meagan)—were a source of joy and pride, along with a host of special great-grandchildren who brought light and laughter into her life. Throughout her life, Bonnie treasured the support and companionship of her lifelong friend, Patty Magill, whose friendship was a testament to Bonnie’s warmth and kindness.
Bonnie was the youngest of nine siblings, born to Gordon and Emma Hatcher, who predeceased her. Though she experienced the pain of losing many family members over the years, including her beloved parents and husband, Bonnie’s heart remained full of love and gratitude.
