Bonnie Sue Hare, née Wylie, born on March 31, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, following a cancer diagnosis. Bonnie was a gentle woman whose life was marked by love, dedication, and an unyielding spirit of kindness and humor.

Bonnie grew up at the Ohio Soldier Sailor's Orphans Home, an experience that shaped her compassionate approach to life and inspired her to pursue a career centered on care and support. Her academic journey led her to Wright State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. This educational foundation fueled her passionate career dedicated to caregiving and helping others. Bonnie retired from Eastway Corporation and spent meaningful years working at the Marshall House, where her compassion and dedication deeply touched the lives of many.

Bonnie’s personality was characterized by her humor, warmth, and genuine kindness. She was well known for her loving spirit and ability to bring joy to those around her. The family mantra, “Bill loves Bonnie, and Bonnie loves Bill,” encapsulates the profound bond she shared with her late husband, Bill Hare, whose memory remains cherished.

A creative soul, Bonnie enjoyed painting and drawing, pursuits that allowed her to express her thoughtful and artistic nature. Her passions extended beyond her work and family to include these personal hobbies.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Cyndi Byers and Julie (Homer) Hardbarger; her brother, Ron (Kathy) Wylie Sr.; mother-in-law, Florence Ann (Ley) Hare; sister-in-laws, Carol Hare-Fox, Mary (Bob) Worth, and Annette (Tim) Scroggins; brother-in-law, Dr. Richard (Pier) Hare. Bonnie’s life was enriched by these cherished family members along with many other friends and relatives who joined in celebrating her warm and generous heart.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Hare; father, Oscar Wylie; mother, June Grubb; and father-in-law, Retired USAF Col. Warren Hare, each of whom holds a special place in the story of her life.

Bonnie's life was a testament to love, resilience, and compassion. She will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
