Listen to Obituary

Bonnie Sue Brogan, lovingly known to many as "Momma B," passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by her cherished family. Born on July 13, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, Bonnie’s life was a testament to unwavering love and generosity, leaving a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

From her early days to her years spent nurturing others, Bonnie's career blossomed in the realm of service. She dedicated many years to Miamisburg Nutrition Services at Kinder Elementary School, ensuring countless children received nutritious meals to fuel their learning and growth. Her warm presence extended beyond the school as she also bartended at the Miamisburg Moose Lodge and Miamisburg Eagles FOE, making a lasting impression with her genuine smile and outgoing personality.

Bonnie was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She took immense pride in her children, Shelly Bascom, Bub (Dawn) Stewart, and Nikki Brooks, and her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Samantha (Andrew) Schoepflin-Stewart, Austin Bascom, Hunter Stewart, Sarah Brooks, and Christopher Brooks. Each moment spent with her great-grandson, Calvin Schoepflin, sparked joy in her heart, illuminating the love that defined her life.

A woman of many talents and interests, Bonnie brought joy wherever she went. Whether playing the tambourine, camping under starry skies, or shopping with friends, she embraced life with both arms wide open. Her laughter echoed in the hearts of her loved ones, especially during summer camps where she was famous for her generous supply of snacks. Bonnie was not just a great mother; she was a nurturer of souls, always ensuring everyone was fed, both physically and emotionally.

Bonnie's love was as boundless as it was unconditional, and she prided herself on the connections she built throughout her life. Her friendly demeanor and outspoken nature won her many friends; she had an innate ability to make everyone feel special. Each interaction left a little sparkle of joy—a testament to her loving spirit.

She now joins in eternal rest her parents, Robert and Louise Carper, and her brothers, Bill Carper and Robert "Sonny" Carper, who surely welcome her with open arms. To those who remain, especially her family and friends, her memory will continue to shine brightly. Bonnie Sue Brogan will forever be remembered for her loving heart, your mom who always ensured everyone felt welcome, and “Momma B” who brightened the lives of everyone around her.
