Bonita Kay Pittl

Bonita Kay Pittl, age 74, of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, at Hospice of Dayton. A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Trinity Church, 272 Bainbridge St., Dayton, on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, at 10:00am, with a Celebration of Life to follow immediately across the street from Holy Trinity at Bainbridge Hall.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, at Miami Valley Hospital, on September 3, 1950. Bonnie grew up in Beavercreek and graduated from Beavercreek High School Class of ‘68. Her first job was as a telephone operator at Ohio Bell. After marriage, she moved to Kettering, Ohio, where she volunteered her time at Oakview Elementary, Van Buren Junior High and Fairmont High School as PTO President/Chairperson and various volunteer positions in the Kettering school system.

She worked for the City of Kettering for 30 years starting in the print shop, moving to Planning and Development, and retiring as the Volunteer Coordinator. After retiring, she spent her time volunteering for the Kettering Backpack Program and the Corner Cupboard. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Rudy; her children, Libby (Jason), Jacob (Brittany), and Theresa (Tony); her 7 grandchildren, Georgianna, Samuel, Bonita, Jack, Elise, Leon and Maya; and her siblings, Robert (Joyce) and William (Rita).

Bonnie will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family and community. She cared deeply for others and worked tirelessly to make the world a better place. A lifelong volunteer, she was passionate about helping those in need and made a lasting impact on everyone she met. Bonnie fought fiercely for the people and causes she loved and believed in. Bonnie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
