Bobbie Jean Yates

Bobbie Jean Yates, 88, formerly of Beavercreek, passed away August 3, 2025 at Valley View Care Center in Frankfort, Ohio. She was born on September 4, 1936 in Texas to the late Alden Sr. & Imogene George.

She graduated from Fabens High School in Fabens, Texas. Bobbie met and married Jerry Yates and they moved to Ohio for his work.

Bobbie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters and loved a good game of Bridge.

Bobbie retired from Key Bank in 2000 to help take care of her young granddaughters.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Pennie Thomas; sister, Ann McDonald; and brother, Alden George Jr.

Bobbie is survived by her granddaughters, Hannah and Faith Thomas; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins still residing in Texas.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Ben Yu officiating.

There will be an urn interment at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City at a later date.
