Bobbie D. Christy, 86, of Riverside, passed away February 3, 2016. Bobbie was born in Browning, MO on September 13, 1929. Bobbie retired from the United States Air Force after 28 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling and volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by his sons, Stephen (Sharon) Christy, Russell Christy, Clifford Christy; daughter, Lynne (Alex) Tolmachoff; grandchildren, Emily (Mario) LaBruzzo, Benjamin (Elizabeth) Christy, Jacob Christy, Nikolas Tolmachoff, Samuel Christy; great granddaughter, Alessandra LaBruzzo; brothers, Jack White, Kenneth White, Bill Casteel, Richard Casteel, Earl Casteel, Mike Casteel, Dennis Casteel; sisters, Norma Elliott, Glenda Douthart; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Bobbie was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Audrey Lilian Christy; mother, Lillian Casteel; and sisters, Louise Carlson, Kathleen Rubel.
A visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm service time on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH.
Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
