Blaine Edward Collins, 92 years old of Hillsboro, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on October 22, 2026.
He was born on October 18, 1934, in West Carrollton, Ohio and spent his life serving the Lord alongside his loving wife, Wanda. He was known for his love of faith, family, food, and sports.
If one word could describe Blaine it would be “service”. He served as Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp (1953 – 1956) in the Korean War and the Ohio National Guard (1956 – 1959), but his passion to serve did not end there. He continued to serve as a father to (4) wonderful rambunctious sons; as a maintenance technician at Monsanto Chemical Company; and ministering life skills from the heart through Moraine Heights Baptist Church and Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church.
Blaine is survived by his sons, Mark (Kristina) Collins of Oxford, MI; Steve (Debra) Collins of New Carlisle, OH; David (Shelly) Collins of Chesterfield, VA; Daryl (Denise) Collins of Forest, VA; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Roy (Judy) Collins of West Carrollton, OH; and sister, Christine Williams of Greenville, TN.
He is proceeded in death by parents, Taft and Clara Belle Collins; wife, Wanda Collins; brothers, Gerald Collins and David Collins.
His greatest gift was his wife, sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was proud of each one of them and always boasted of their accomplishments. Blaine and Wanda taught each of us to serve the Lord and others through giving our time, generosity, and using our spiritual gifts. As it says in Joshua 24:15, “…but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
