Billy R. Miracle, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, nurse, friend, and jokester, age 75, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on June 21, 2024. He was born on March 18, 1949, in Bell County, Kentucky.
Billy graduated from Bell County High School, Class of 1967. Billy's career was a source of pride to him. He spent many years providing care and compassion at Stillwater Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center. His commitment to helping others leaves a lasting legacy in the medical field.
A man of many talents and interests, Billy had a love for telling jokes and was always ready to make everyone laugh. His snazzy and flamboyant sense of style brought joy to those around him, reflecting his desire to spread happiness wherever he went.
Outside of work, Billy found joy in simple pleasures like going to the Smoky Mountains with his wife Deborah, reading, fishing, and savoring delicious meals. His enthusiasm for life was infectious, and he cherished moments spent with family and friends.
Billy's proudest accomplishment was his family whom he adored. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Deborah Miracle; children: Billy Ray Miracle Jr. (Kasey), Melissa Miracle, James Craig (Michael Fischer), Jason Craig (Staci), Brittany Roesch (Cory), and Ashley Craig (Louis McKnight); along with grandchildren: Brittany Molla (Sam), Hannah Pearson (Justin), Amber May (Jaeton), Billy Miracle III, Harlan Miracle, Bethany Miracle, Louis McKnight, Evann Dittebrand, Amari McKnight, Amiyah McKnight and Apollo Craig; brothers and sisters: Linda Helms (Tom Bundren), Joyce Brennan (Michael), Larry Miracle (Brenda) and Shirley Gibson (Tom); sister-in-law, Katherine Leonard (Alvin); brothers-in-law: James Robinson and Phillip Robinson (Malieka) and a wide circle of relatives and friends who will deeply miss him.
He was predeceased by his parents: Roy and Mable Miracle; brothers: Jerry Miracle and Garry Miracle; sister, Wanda Roark; father and mother-in-law: Elie and Sammie Mae Robinson; brothers-in-law: Larry Fosnot, Robert Jones, John L. Roark, June Bug Helms, Bruce Robinson, Elie Robinson Jr.; and former spouse Edna Miracle Gibson.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm. Click below to view livestream of service. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle.
