Bill Wager

William S. Wager, age 85 of Kettering, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025. He was born February 15, 1940 in Kettering, Ohio the son of the late Arthur J. Wager Sr. and Marjorie B. Seifert Wager. He graduated from Chaminade High School. Bill retired from Kettering Medical Center after 25 years working as an Inventory Control Clerk, from 1980 to 2005. He served his country as a Sergeant in the National Guard from 1962 to 1968. Bill was a life long parishioner of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church where he served as an Usher at their Saturday, 4:30PM Mass for years. Bill's Church Family at St. Alberts was very important to him and his family has had 4 generations attend St. Alberts Elementary School. He cherished time spent on the Golf Course. Bill was an avid sports fan. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed.

Bill is survived by his Daughters, Kim Wager, and Ellen Wager; Granddaughter, Amanda (Darrin) Wager-McCracken; Great-Granddaughters, Kayla Rubi, and Harley McCracken; Sister-in-law, Frances Wager; and by numerous other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Wife, Sheila Wager; Brother, Arthur Wager, Jr.; and his Parents.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Alzheimer's Association.

A Visitation will be held July 7, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 12:00PM at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, (3033 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429). Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
