Bill D. Daugherty

Bill D. Daugherty, age 77 of Trotwood, passed away surrounded by family on February 18, 2018. Bill was born in Petros, TN to the late Etheleen and Blaine Daugherty. He worked for many years as an iron worker. Bill enjoyed fishing and gardening in his free time. He was a passionate Tennessee fan. He loved to cheer them on to victory with his family. Bill took great pride in his family. Bill married the love of his life, Shirley Sellers, in 1965. The two were married for 53 years. Bill was a loving and caring, husband, father, grandfather, brother, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Tommy Daugherty, Karen Daugherty, Randall Daugherty, and Susie Secrest.

Bill leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife of 53 years, Shirley Daugherty; sons, Bruce (Lisa) Daugherty, Gary (Melissa) Daugherty, David (Penny Kall) Daugherty; siblings, Jack (Faye) Daugherty, Peggy (Gene) Smith, and Brenda Blankenship; grandchilden, Bruce Daugherty, Jr., Johnny (Heather) Bayham, Lisa (Aaron)Vaughn, Danielle Daugherty, Pat (Savannah) Daugherty, and Kaitlyn Daugherty; 12 great-grandchildren, Maliyah, Madison, Bruce III, Hannah, Johnny Jr., Kyilenna, Skyler, Liam, Lillian, Lexa, Brielle, and Patrick Jr.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 6pm at Newcomer North Chapel. Visitation for two hours prior (4pm-6pm).
