Beverly J. Harris

Beverly J. Harris, age 94 of Kettering, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026 at her home. She was born March 13, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Charles and Bertha Miller.

Beverly's life was marked by her passions for camping, gardening, traveling, and dedicating time to her flower beds. An excellent cook and a devoted family woman, she was known for her selfless nature and hard work. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, always providing for her family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Miller; mother, Bertha Miller; husband, Boonie Harris; six siblings; son-in-law, Ray Forsythe; and grandson, Stephen Forsythe.

Beverly is survived by her children, Sharon (Michael) Shaneyfelt, Charley (Kathy) Shepherd, Anna Forsythe and David Eugene Shepherd; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild on the way; and many other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or The Alzheimer's Association in Beverly's honor.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 15, 2026 from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm with a Funeral Service at 12:00 pm at David's Cemetery Chapel (4600 Mad River Road, Kettering, Ohio 45429). A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at David's Cemetery Gathering Room.
