Beverly Sue Blanke, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 29, 2026, in Dayton. She was born on March 25, 1944, in Dayton, and throughout her life she was known as a loving, helpful, outgoing, and faithful presence—someone who was always there for the people she loved.
Beverly graduated from Patterson Co-Op High School in 1962. She went on to work as a sales representative for various office supply companies, a role she held until her retirement in 2020. She brought dedication and warmth to her work, and those same qualities shaped every part of her life.
At the center of Beverly’s world was her family, her proudest accomplishment and greatest joy. She loved gardening, bird watching, spending time with family, talking and telling stories, and cooking, especially for those she loved most. Her grandchildren especially treasured her chocolate chip pancakes, a simple but lasting expression of her care that will be remembered with great affection.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Rick, her partner for 50 years. She also leaves behind her children, Kimberly Woods, Eric Cook, Heather Stackhouse, and Matthew Blanke; her son-in-law, David Stackhouse; her daughter-in-law, Leslie Blanke; and her grandchildren, Leah, Todd, Ryan, and Preston. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her, and her family will continue to carry forward the stories, love, and steady faithfulness she gave so generously.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Chester and Ruth Schickling, and by her brothers, Jack Schickling, Richard Schickling, and Larry Schickling.
Visitation will be held on November 20, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
