Beverly "Bebe" Rowe-Hill, a cherished soul known for her loving spirit and vibrant personality, passed away peacefully in Dayton, Ohio, on December 19, 2025, at the age of 67. Born in Dayton on February 5, 1958, Beverly spent her life making a significant impact on everyone she met.
Throughout her career, Beverly wore many hats, from her time at Woody’s and GM Frigidaire to her roles at Sinclair Community College, Hobart and USPS. Beverly dedicated the latter part of her professional life to serving the City of Dayton’s Tax Department, from which she ultimately retired after 30 years, leaving behind a legacy of hardworking dedication.
Those who knew her found her to be wonderfully bubbly and engaging. Beverly had a knack for making friends wherever she went—she truly didn’t know a stranger. Her warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on her community. She was known for her promptness in responding to requests, always ready to lend a hand, and she loved nothing more than to spoil those she cared about. With a zest for life, Beverly was not just a loving wife, but a beacon of joy to everyone around her, bringing smiles and comfort in her unique way. She took great pride in being a loving caretaker to her mother and her youngest brother and sister.
Beverly gave her heart to the Lord and was saved at a young age while attending Bethel COGIC, where she also served as secretary. A devoted member of Overcomers in Christ Ministry, Beverly's passion extended beyond her immediate circle. She served as a board member, Sunday school teacher, singer, bookkeeper, and secretary. Her faith in God was unwavering, reflected in all her contributions to the church and her charitable giving to many different organizations. Christmas was especially dear to her heart; she reveled in the joy and togetherness it brought, radiating that festive spirit year-round.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Hill, with whom she shared 23 beautiful years of marriage. She leaves behind her adoring mother, Dorris Christine Rowe; siblings Jeffrey (Maria) Rowe, Betty (James) Leak, Vivian (Eric) Walker, and Michael Rowe; and sister-in-law, Debbie Hill. Among her loved ones is her goddaughter, Allison Willis; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends who were touched by her kindness.
Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Mark E. Rowe; her sister, Kathy Lark; and her in-laws: Fred P. Hill, Mary L. Hill, and her aunt, Mattie Mae Hill. Though she has departed from this world, her loving spirit and infectious energy remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. Beverly Rowe-Hill will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of many.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 9-10am at Overcomers in Christ Ministries, 900 Cincinnati St., Dayton, Ohio 45417. The service will follow at 10am. Beverly will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton.
