Betty K. Powell, age 83, died peacefully on January 20, 2016. She was born October 31, 1932 in Wellington, KY to Courtney Osborne and Rosie Whitt. Betty married Milford Powell on September 16, 1950.
Betty's family and friends could always count on her in their time of need. She served others first; family, friends and even the console of the UCT. Betty had a huge heart and will be remembered as a little, independent, strong lady who was a faithful believer in our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Betty is survived by her 2 brothers: Charles Osborne and Raymond Osborne; 2 daughters: Patricia (Curt) Eldridge and Anna Powell; 4 grandchildren: Darell (Shelly) Eldridge, Jonathan Eldridge, Amber (Ryan) Lapeer and Cassidy Powell; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Northwest Freewill Baptist Church, 4800 Payne Avenue, Dayton, where a Celebration of Betty's Life will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday. Her burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Milford C. Powell.
