Betty Gene McMahan was born December 6, 1929 in Enid, Oklahoma to the late Oley and Golda Mae (nee Fox) McCoy and died December 29, 2019 in Dayton, Ohio.
She graduated from Enid High School in 1946. She obtained a certificate from Enid Business College. Betty Gene worked as a secretary at George E. Failing Co. She married John Lewis McMahan on May 10, 1952 at the University Place Christian Church. She served as a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital and was a president of volunteers in 1986. She served as church librarian at Central Christian Church for many years where she is a member.
Betty Gene is survived by her sons, Johnny McMahan and wife Roberta of Dayton, Ohio and Matt McMahan of Enid, Oklahoma; daughter Joanna Russell and husband Ken of Garber, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many friends from Enid. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
