Betty L. Lee, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in Riverside, Ohio, at the age of 93. She was born on August 8, 1932, in Grayson, Kentucky, where she nurtured her kind spirit and developed a deep appreciation for the simpler joys in life.

Betty was a remarkable woman known for her sweet nature and her unwavering devotion to her family. She had an extraordinary ability to care for those around her, often putting their needs above her own. Whether through a warm meal, a comforting conversation, or simply being an attentive listener, she expressed her love by always worrying about everyone else. Betty's heart was a reservoir of affection, generosity, and kindness.

An enthusiastic lover of life, she spent countless hours pursuing her passions. Betty found joy in sewing, mastering the art of creating beautiful garments, and sharing her handmade treasures with loved ones. Her green thumb flourished in the garden, where she lovingly nurtured her plants and created serene spaces filled with blooms that reflected her loving spirit. Betty also delighted in feeding the animals that visited her yard, demonstrating her innate love for all living creatures.

She leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by her family. Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James David and Melissa Lee; her grandchildren, James Devin Lee (Anez) and Derek Lee (Libby); and her great-grandchildren, Saige, Ashton, Elijah, and Baby James. She is also remembered fondly by her sister, Ruth Ratcliff; niece, Joy Ratcliff; and nephew, Charles Baker. Each of them carries cherished memories of Betty, whose warmth and light will forever brighten their hearts.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Lee, Sr., who she missed dearly. The love they shared continues to be a guiding light for their family, compounding the sense of family devotion and spirit that Betty embodied.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM, both taking place at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424.  Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Betty's legacy is one of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Her memory will live on in the stories shared, the lives she touched, and the love she so freely gave.
