Betty J. Huffman "Betty Boop", age 85, of Dayton, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Claudia Ann (Michael) French; son, Eugene J. Huffman Jr.; granddaughter, Ashley Henderson; siblings, Donald Edmondson, Geraldine Crook, Sandy Baldwin and Michael Edmonson; niece, Vickie Crowe and many other relatives and friends.
She graduated from Stivers High School. Betty had a great sense of style and love of fashion. She modeled for some of the local department stores and was the photography model for NCR for 2 years. Her picture was once in Time Magazine for ads for the NCR business machines. Betty was a charter member of the woman's auxiliary to the Dayton Dental Society, where she served in many committees of that organization. She worked as a marketing executive at St. Leonard's.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 2-4 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. The memorial service will follow at 4 pm.
