Betty J. Ball

Betty J. Ball, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and beloved sister, passed away on April 13, 2026. Born on November 17, 1932, Betty lived a life filled with love, joy, and precious family moments that will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Betty was known for her warmth and kindness. She treasured her role as a mother to her sons, Mark (Nanci) Ball and Tom Ball, and found great happiness in her relationships with her grandchildren Michael Ball, Matt Gates, Alex Ball, and Megan Volkerding. Her devotion extended gracefully to her great-granddaughters McKayla, Lola, and Lucia, who brought an abundance of joy into her later years. Betty also held a special place in her heart for her sister, Sue O'Hara, whose companionship enriched her life.

Betty shared many happy times with family and friends, especially through her love of camping. These outdoor adventures were cherished opportunities to connect and create lasting memories. She also valued spending quality time with friends, nurturing bonds that brought laughter and comfort.

Her late husband of 70 years, Pearl Ball Jr., preceded her in death, and although he is deeply missed, Betty’s spirit endures in the hearts of her surviving family members.

A visitation honoring Betty’s life will be held on April 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville, located at 820 Miamisburg Centerville Rd, Dayton, Ohio. The funeral service will follow from 12:00 p.m. at the same location. Betty will be laid to rest next to Pearl at Miami Valley Memory Gardens in Centerville. These gatherings will offer family and friends an opportunity to pay their respects and celebrate the remarkable life and legacy of Betty J. Ball.

Betty will be remembered not only for the loving roles she embraced but also for the genuine warmth she extended to all. Her strength of character and devotion to those she loved leave behind a profound legacy that will continue to inspire and comfort her family and community.
