Betty Anne Dixon, a devoted Christian and beloved member of the Pentecostal Apostolic Church of Dayton, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026. Born on February 21, 1939, in Liggitt, Kentucky, Betty's life was a testament to faith, love, and unwavering commitment to her family and church community.
Throughout her 87 years, Betty embodied the spirit of devotion. She was cherished not only for her deep spirituality but also for the warmth and care she extended to everyone around her. Her faith was a guiding light that shaped her life and inspired those privileged to know her. Betty's involvement in her church was more than participation; it was a heartfelt calling that she answered daily with joy and dedication.
Family was at the core of Betty’s life. She was deeply loved by her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Christina Dixon, who stood by her side through life's many chapters. The bonds she shared with her siblings—Delores Miniard, Jimmy Miniard, and Joyce Loftis—were marked by mutual respect and affection. Her legacy also lives on in many nieces, nephews, and cousins who fondly remember her kindness and generosity. Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leemon Dixon, as well as her parents, Mollee and Daniel Miniard, and siblings, all of whom held special places in her heart.
Betty’s journey was woven with cherished memories and countless acts of love. She was a beacon of faith within her church family, a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her life reminds us of the beauty found in steadfast faith and the enduring power of love.
A visitation and funeral service to honor Betty Anne Dixon’s remarkable life will be held on March 20, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Dayton, located at 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45424. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and her church family to celebrate her meaningful life and say their farewells.
Betty’s spirit and devotion have left an indelible mark on us all. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her to live with faith, love, and grace, just as she did every day.
