Betty Bateman (nee: Amsler)
Age 79 of Dayton after a long battle with Alzheimer's closed her eyes for her eternal sleep on Friday, May 18, 2012. Her eyes were bright and clear, she had a cute little smile on her beautiful face, as if to say, "Alzheimer's, you did not get all of me!"
Betty was preceded in death by her father, J. C. Amsler; her mother, Dot Mosier; her sister, Judy Mosier; her sister-in-law, Gail Hicks and one of her best friends, Vergie Pemberton.
Betty leaves behind her husband of the past 58 years, Charles Bateman; brothers, Gayle Hicks and James Mosier; sister, Kay Mosier-Babcock; and two of her long time friends, Nellie and Anna Pritchard.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering. Family will be receiving friends one hour prior to services. Betty will be buried on her family property in Elgin, TN.
