Bernice Combs

Bernice Combs, 89, of Riverside, passed away February 2, 2017. Bernice was born in Hyden, Kentucky on October 21, 1927 to the late Sam and Jailey Sizemore. She was a member of Farhills Baptist Church for many years. In her free time she enjoyed watching westerns, gardening, sewing, canning, crocheting and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Brack Combs; daughters, Frances Caudill, Anna Sue Combs, Sandra Webb; brother, Benjamin Sizemore; and sister, Marie Osborne.

She is survived by her son, Kendall Combs; granddaughters, Katherine (Terry) Heizer, Heather Dennison; grandson, Bobby (Dora) Lakes, Jr.; great grandchildren, Rebecca Heizer, Demi Lakes, Jacob Horn, Leelyn Dennison, Gracy Dennison; great great grandchild, Cali Horn; sisters, Leona Lewis, Opal Sizemore, Thelma Young, Roselyn Heimerl; brother, Bud Sizemore; and several other relatives and special friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 9:30 am-10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, where funeral services will begin at 10:30 am with Rev. Jerry Siler officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
