Bernard J. Kleimeier Jr., age 80, of Franklin, passed away on April 19, 2016 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He was born on December 11, 1935, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Bernard and Lela (Martz) Kleimeier. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Jimmy Kleimeier; brother, Jerry Kleimeier; in-laws, Lawrence and Loretta Braun; and precious dog, Daisy (1). Bernard is survived by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Mary "Arlene" Braun Kleimeier; son, Benny Joe (Jeanie) Kleimeier; three daughters, Terri (Darrell) Thomison, Patty Sue (Jon) Grimes, Jeannie (Jim) Dehart; sister, Cindy (Gary) Smith; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law and spouses; brother-in-law and his spouse; a host of nieces and nephews; and beloved dog Daisy (2). Bernard served his country in the United States Army for 31 months in Germany during the Korean conflict and was honorably discharged. He was an avid flower gardener, and also loved to hunt, fish and golf. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016, from 5:00 pm. to 7:00 pm. at Newcomer Funeral Home- South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH. Prayers and visitation will take place on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 9:00 am, also at the South Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dayton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with military honors.
