Barry Chalfant Tucker, age 86, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. He was born on June 7, 1939, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Garnett and Elizabeth Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald C. Tucker.
Barry is survived by his devoted wife, Diana Tucker; his daughters, Amy (James) Marcum of Paris, Kentucky, and Leslie (Jim Clark) Wilson of Lexington, Kentucky; along with several nieces and many other loving family members and friends.
Barry proudly served his country as a member of the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army. A true man of the land, he spent much of his life farming and milking cows—a vocation he deeply loved. He also dedicated over 20 years to working as a security guard. In his free time, Barry enjoyed reading, gardening, listening to music, and riding his beloved motorcycles.
A private celebration of Barry’s life will be held at a later date in Kentucky.
