Barbara Jean Shackleford, age 76 of Dayton, passed away July 29, 2013 at Friendship Village. She was born May 29, 1937 in Dayton to the late Virgil and Claudia Pitts. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Donald Pitts; and brother, Virgil Pitts, II.
Barbara is survived by her daughters: Debbie (Tony) Watkins, Sharon Shackleford and Honee B. (Ronnie) Edmonds; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Gwen B.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was a devoted member of the Jehovah's Witness for 26 years.
