Barbara L. Rigney

Barbara L. Rigney, age 94 of Huber Heights, Ohio was reunited in Heaven with her husband, Bill of 53 years on May 19, 2026 at the Laurels of West Carrollton with her devoted granddaughter, Tonya by her side.

Barbara retired from General Motors after 20 plus years of dedicated employment. She enjoyed quilt making, being a seamstress, cooking for her family, and spending as much time with them as she could.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Rigney; grandson, Michael Norris; children, Gary Norris, Kathi Winters, and William Rigney Jr.; son-in-law, Ed Heizer; sisters, Carolyn Maxwell and Jacklyn (Don) Kahny.

She is survived by her children, Stephen (Cathy) Norris, Karen Heizer, Laura (Robert) Dixon, Christine (Jim) Rhodes; daughter-in-law, Teresa Norris; grandchildren, Brian (Denise) Norris, Tim (Laura) Norris, Jason (Tonya) Norris, Jeff (Ruth) Henkaline, Jesse Henkaline, Brandi (Josh) Smoker, Shannon (Jason) Johnson, Ashley (Ray) Tschirhart, Jeremy Hileman, and Carrie (Brandon) Corrigall; many great and great great grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 9-10am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 10am with Pastor Julie Stevens officiating.
