Barbara Ann Kraus

Barbara Ann Kraus, age 85 of Kettering, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born on March 8, 1935 in Stamford, Connecticut to the late James and Mary Price. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Ronald G. Kraus.

Barbara is survived by her son, Douglas (Elaine) Kraus; six grandchildren, Aidan Kraus, Drake Kraus, Benham Kraus, Andrea (Carey Kight) Buccilla, Brooke Renaker, and Madalyn Renaker; one great granddaughter, Ilah Kight; and twin brother, James Price II. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

She was employed by Attorney Joseph Garber for 33 years. Barbara began a second career with Montgomery County Probate Court where she spent another 33 years and retired in October 2017. She was passionate about all sports, especially the University of Dayton Flyers Basketball and Notre Dame Football. Her favorite sport was anything her grandchildren were competing in. She was an avid fan, never wanted to miss an event. Barbara is well loved and will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

Memorial Gathering will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439. Funeral Service will be officiated at 7:00 pm by Pastor Joel Getts.
