Barbara Ann Johnson

Barbara A. Johnson, age 87, of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at St Leonard Health and Rehab Center, Centerville, OH. 

She was born on September 1, 1938, in London, England and was adopted and raised by her grandmother Ellen Frary. She was a former military wife who dedicated her life and loving heart to her family. She was a member of Mosaic Church in Beavercreek, Ohio. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her grandmother Ellen Frary; her beloved husband Frank Johnson; and her great grandson Alexander Moad. She is survived by her children Lynn (Elvin) Moad of Kettering, OH; Dawn (Bill) Kacvinsky of Beavercreek, OH; Clifford (Dee) Johnson of Dayton, OH; stepdaughter Robbin (Larry) Siener of Hot Springs Village, AR; grandchildren Jamie (Yvonne) Owens; Stephen (Leslie) Moad; Lena (Alex) Ellis; Chris (Andrew) Fishpaw; Matt (Janelle) Johnson; Donald (Brittany) Owens; Robert (Sariah) Johnson; Daniel (Raven) Moad; Ryan Johnson; great-grandchildren Skyler Ellis; Austin Ellis; Joey Fishpaw; Ethan Fishpaw; Matt Johnson, Jr; Annabelle Johnson; James Johnson; Theodore Johnson; Nathaniel Johnson; Ryley Johnson; Josie Johnson; Easton Moad; Bentley Moad; Merrick Moad; Levi Moad; Oaklyn Moad; Caleb Owens; Charlotte Owens; Colton Owens; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. 

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who valued family and faith in the Lord above all else. She was a faithful and loving friend who cherished those relationships, especially her lifelong friendship with Olive Smith. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends and always remembered in their hearts. 

A special thank you to St Leonard Assisted Living, St Leonard Health and Rehab and VITAS Hospice for the compassionate care she received over the past several years. Funeral service will be at 4:00pm on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel at 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road in Beavercreek with Pastor Lilanthi Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm until the time of the service. Interment will be at Dayton National Cemetery on a later date.
