Aurora Carter, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 19, 2026, just five days after celebrating her 61st birthday. Born on February 14, 1965, Aurora approached life with the spirit of a true Valentine, spreading kindness and love to everyone she encountered.
She attended Beavercreek High School. Aurora was not only an enthusiastic student but also a spirited cheerleader, known for her vibrant personality and her “megaphone mouth,” as her family affectionately described it. Her fierce dedication to those she cared about made her a self-professed drill sergeant, motivating her loved ones with unwavering support and encouragement.
Aurora was a radiant presence, characterized by her bright smile and confident demeanor. She was a family-oriented individual who made it her mission to always be there for everyone. Her outgoing nature enabled her to forge connections effortlessly, and she was admired for her ability to light up a room with her warmth.
Throughout her life, Aurora nurtured many interests that brought her joy including; music, swimming, cooking out, hiking, gardening, and exploring flea markets. She had a passion for thrift shopping; buying toys, clothes, jewelry, purses, etc. for her children, grandchildren and family. Aurora also had a special fondness for animals and enjoyed dining at Marion’s pizza.
Aurora is survived by her loving husband in spirit, Randy Michaels; her mother, Victoria Carter; her cherished children, Carmen Fazel and Adam Fazel; her beloved grandchildren, Nathanael Fazel, Angel Owens, Naomi Owens, Jonas Owens, Makaylah Owens, Eligh Fazel, Mary Long, Gavyn Fazel, Karsyn Fazel, Emy Fazel, and Kaylee Brooklyn Fazel; and her great-grandchild, Isaiah Fazel. She is also survived by her devoted siblings, Della Renee Carter, Drema Kay (Jeffrey) Bowser, Jamie Hall, and Kara Fazel; nieces and nephews, Kohl (Kimmi) Givens, Aaron (Amanda) Mabberly, and Ciera (Carlos) Martinez; along with a host of other family and friends.
Aurora was preceded in death by her father, Dell F. Carter I; first born son, Dell F. Carter II; second son, David Thomas Francisco Fazel Jr.; two siblings, Elena Carter and Carmen Carter; both maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.
Aurora Carter's legacy of love, strength, and community will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. The love and memories she instilled in the lives of those she touched will forever resonate in their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to assist with expenses.
