Audrey June Meese, age 89 of Dayton, OH formerly of Louisville, KY passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born June 3, 1928 in Harriman, Tennessee. June married Dale Meese in July 1950 in Dayton, OH.
June retired from the J.C. Penney Jewelry Department in Louisville, KY. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Worthington Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the Beargrass Christian Church.
Audrey is survived by her four children, Jim (Marie) Meese, Debbie (Jim) Griest, Cynthia James and John (Tammy) Meese; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Jonathan, Jordan, Jeremy, Jamie, Kristina, Erick, Dale and Bryan; four great grandchildren; and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale and her mother, Bertie.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:00 Noon at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Louisville East Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243. A committal service will be held following the gathering at Louisville East Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions are requested to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington, Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
