It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt remembrance, we announce the passing of Audrey Elaine Byrd, maiden name Bush, who left this world on May 23, 2026, in Vandalia, Ohio. Born on April 27, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio, Audrey Elaine’s life was a tapestry woven with warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for those around her.

Audrey was a devoted and compassionate soul who worked diligently in customer service, always bringing a genuine smile and care to every interaction. Beyond her career, she was most cherished for her role as an amazing homemaker—a woman whose kitchen was a haven of comfort and joy. She loved to cook, pouring her heart into every meal prepared especially for family gatherings, where her culinary talents were a source of great delight and connection. More than that, she relished the moments spent with her family, particularly with her beloved grandchildren, Christopher Cottrell and Aubrielle Franklin. Her deep faith in Jesus was a guiding light throughout her life, nurturing her kind, caring, and compassionate spirit.

Audrey’s love knew no bounds. She cared deeply for her family, embracing the responsibility and joy of looking after others with an open heart. Her gentleness and empathy left an indelible impression on all who knew her, making her presence a treasured blessing.

She is lovingly remembered and survived by her sons, Tyson Bush and Charles Franklin (and his wife Brittany), who carry her legacy forward with pride and affection. Her siblings, Barbara Bush and Nathaniel Bush, Jr., brother-in-law, Kelvin Stevenson, along with nieces and nephews—Bettina Bush, Nicole Richards, Aaron Stevenson, Daniel Stevenson, and Nathan Bush—cherish the memories of a sister and aunt whose warmth will forever light their lives. She is also survived by her great nieces, Qualise Bush, Isabella Torres, and Daniella Torres. Audrey Elaine’s circle of dear friends, including Michelle Butler, Betty Blankenship, and Janice Greenleaf, grieve the loss of a friend whose kindness was a beacon of hope and comfort.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Nathaniel and Mary Bush, and her sister Princess Stevenson, whose memories Audrey held close to her heart.
