Athena Joann Michelle Sheffler

Athena Joann Michelle Sheffler, age 8, went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2024. Beloved daughter of Michelle Brown and Joseph Sheffler, beloved sister of Allysse Chatt and Shawn Brown, adored granddaughter of Rachel Brown and great granddaughter of Herman and Joann McDonald and Nancy Human. Athena is also survived by her aunt Nicole Garcia and great uncle Robert McDonald.

Athena was preceded in death by her grandfather James Brown, grandmother Viola Grove-Merritt and uncle Dylan Brown.

Athena was the happiest child. She would laugh and light up the room. The world is a better place for having her in it. She was an inspiration to all that had the blessing of meeting her. 

Public visitation will be held at Newcomer funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Monday January 20, 2025 at 12:00 pm with funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Willow View Cemetery.
