Ashton Carter Evans, lovingly known as "Hoodie", a truly remarkable and beloved young man, left this world far too soon on October 29, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on November 24, 2006, in Dayton, Ashton was a shining light in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He carried an infectious spirit that drew people in with his magnetic personality.
Ashton had recently started a new job as a Bander with Lapham-Hickey Steel, alongside his brother, Cody. He maintained a strong bond with his family, embodying a polite and respectful demeanor while nurturing deep connections with those around him.
Life for Ashton was filled with adventure and joy. He cherished his childhood memories spent playing baseball and reveled in the peacefulness of fishing, particularly at pay lakes. As a tremendous athlete, he enjoyed golfing, and his love for sports extended to being a passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Boston Red Sox. Recently, he attended his first Red Sox game in Cincinnati, adding yet another cherished memory to his short but vibrant life.
Ashton was also a member of the Cruze Culture car club, where he found camaraderie and shared interests with friends who appreciated the same passion. Whether it was cheering on his favorite football team alongside his Dad or engaging in friendly competition in video games, Ashton radiated happiness, sharing laughter and joy with everyone he encountered.
He attended Xenia High School, where his outgoing personality and talent made him well-loved by classmates and teachers alike. Ashton’s kindness, happiness, and polite nature left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
He is survived by his loving parents, Reece (Glenda) Evans and Shane Evans; his brothers, Cody (Nomi) Evans and Isaiah (Mary Stovall) Evans; his beloved grandparents, Don & Jeanne Adelsberger, David L. Evans, and Florence Henderson; step-sisters, Kaitlyn (Allen) Williams and Kristyn Ison; nieces and nephews, Alice, Delilah, Bodhi, Silas, Brooks, and Colton; as well as aunts and uncles, Jason (Theresa) Evans, Delores (Joe) Osborne, and Billie Jo (David) Deaton. Ashton’s legacy will continue through the many loving cousins, family, and friends who were touched by his kindness and love.
To honor his memory, a Visitation will be held at Xenia Nazarene Church, 1204 W. 2nd St., Xenia, OH 45385, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Ashton's Life beginning at 3:00 PM. This will be a gathering place for all those wishing to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a truly special young man.
Ashton Carter Evans will forever be remembered for the joy he brought to our lives, his unwavering love for family and friends, and his bright, shining spirit that leaves an indelible mark on our hearts.
