Ashleigh Oliver, a remarkable woman known for her boundless compassion and generous spirit, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, in her hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Born on September 27, 1988, Ashleigh carried with her from birth a heart so large that it touched the lives of all fortunate enough to know her.
A proud graduate of Stebbins High School’s class of 2006, Ashleigh’s dedication to learning led her to Sinclair Community College and Wright State University, where she further honed her intellect and passions. Her career as a marketing manager at Edict Systems was marked by the same commitment and enthusiasm she brought to everything in life.
Ashleigh was a beacon of kindness and loyalty, a person whose generosity knew no bounds. She had the biggest heart in the world and was always willing to stand up for the underdog, embodying the virtues of giving and compassion. Known for her outspoken nature, Ashleigh also radiated warmth and joy, her signature smile revealing the most beautiful dimples that melted hearts wherever she went. She was a dependable friend, a dedicated “mother hen,” a wise teacher, and a guide—a steadfast presence who put others first with passionate dedication.
Some of Ashleigh's fondest memories were closely intertwined with cherished traditions. Every Halloween, she delighted in dressing up and handing out candy to all who came knocking at her door; the more creative the costume, the more candy she would generously share. These joyful moments embodied her playful spirit and love for community. As a child, she shared a special bond with her grandfather, Pop Pop, who affectionately called her Ashleigh B. His influence was profound, introducing her to his world early on at the American Legion Post, where she became wise beyond her years.
Ashleigh’s interests were as rich as her personality. An avid fan of Pittsburgh Steelers football and Michigan State University’s basketball and football teams, she never missed a chance to cheer on her favorites. Music was a treasured part of her life—she was a devoted member of the BTS ARMY, drawing inspiration and joy from their melodies. Her gift for writing and poetry offered her a beautiful outlet for expression, with the works of Maya Angelou and Edgar Allan Poe holding special places in her heart.
Though she leaves behind a deep void, Ashleigh’s memory is lovingly carried on by her parents, Calvin and Toni Oliver; her brothers and sisters—Bryon and Tricia Russell-Oliver, Quintin Oliver, and Alex Oliver; her sweet nieces Mekella and Brylyn; aunts and uncles Kym, Jay and Nikki, Rod and Jackie, and Maxine; her beloved dog Onyx, and an extended circle of cherished relatives and friends, including Madie Tillman.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Helen Webb, John and Ora Oliver; her great-aunt Winifred Webb; and her dear dogs TC and Shadow.
Ashleigh’s legacy is woven from her kindness, her loyalty, and the passion she showed in every chapter of her life. To honor her memory, and in lieu of flowers, those touched by her spirit are invited to consider making a donation to a charity of their choice and share their acts of remembrance on the online guestbook in her honor.
Her life was a testament to the power of love, courage, and generosity. Ashleigh will forever be remembered as a woman who smiled widely, gave selflessly and loved deeply—her loss felt profoundly, but her spirit lives on, shining bright in the hearts she so tenderly touched.
