Ashlea Irene Jackson

Ashlea Irene Jackson was born in Dayton, Ohio, on July 13th, 1985, to parents Ronald Jackson and Tracy Hutton. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday morning, April 2nd. Ashlea was a wonderful daughter, mother, niece, cousin, and friend to all the people in her orbit. It was an honor to have her in our lives for only 40 years. She worked hard, and she played hard, but no matter whether times were good or bad, she always made sure her daughters, Jailynn and Harlem, had everything they wanted and needed. Education was something she instilled in her girls. She was so proud when her oldest daughter, Jailynn, graduated from high school, and though she won’t be here with us to see Harlem graduate, I know she will be there in spirit. She will forever remain in the hearts of all those who loved her. Ashlea is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Effie Chatmon and Irene Jackson. Her special big cousin, Melinda Shyrell Barnes-Moore, special bonus Auntie Vallarie Thompson, and a host of loved Aunts and Uncles.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her parents, Tracy Hutton, and Ronald Jackson. Her two daughters, Jailynn Ray Jackson-Roundtree and Harlem Jameson Ray Jackson. One brother, Ronnie Tarrant, and one sister, Cameron Jackson. Aunt Diana (John) Motley, Uncle Anthony (Brenda) Byrd, Uncle Randy (Vikki) Zachery, Uncle Donald Jackson, Uncle Calvin Jackson, Uncle Tim Jefferson, and special bonus mom Geraldine Harris. A host of loving close cousins and close friends. Her “little sister” cousin, Tayler Ray Barnes. Her special nephew, Cristian Bibbs. Her special person, Christen Gates. Her loving friend Leonita White, godmother to Jailynn and Harlem. Her longtime friend Keisha Dunn.

Services honoring and celebrating Ashlea Life will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424) on Friday, April 17, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10am - 11am and a service will immediately follow at 11am.
