Listen to Obituary

Arthur C. O'Neil passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on January 17, 1934, Arthur lived a long and full life marked by devotion to his family, dedication to his work, and a strong independent spirit.

Arthur graduated from the University of Mount Union, a connection that remained meaningful to him throughout his life. He went on to work for more than 50 years in the adhesives and sealants industry, building a career defined by commitment and steady responsibility. He was a man who lived life on his own terms and his own way, and those who knew him understood both his strength of character and the care he gave to the people he loved.

Family was at the center of Arthur’s life. He loved going on vacations with his family and was steadfast in his responsibility to care for them. His grandchildren were a special joy to him, and he took great happiness in their lives and presence. He also found pleasure in simple and familiar things, including a love of ice cream, chocolate and a myriad of sweets. Arthur enjoyed watching sports and was a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan, while also faithfully cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Mount Union Purple Raiders.

Arthur is survived by his beloved wife, Joan O'Neil, and by his children, Arthur Jr., Tim (Christi) with children Kate, Ben & Natalie, and Kelly (Grant) with children Owen & Megan. He is also survived by his treasured cat, Snickers. His family will remember him with love for his independence and the deep care he showed them through the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Doris O'Neil.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Vienna Springs Assisted Memory Care for the care they provided him and his family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arthur's memory may be made to The Trilogy Health Services Foundation or to The Alzheimer's Association. To honor Arthur's wishes, no services will be held.

Arthur’s life was one of loyalty, hard work, and love for family. He leaves behind lasting memories that will continue to be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
