Arthur Combs

Arthur Combs, age 90 of Riverside, reunited with his wife, Polly Combs on January 20, 2016. He was born June 18, 1925 in Estill, KY to the late Earl and Minerva (Thornsberry) Combs. In addition to his wife and parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his 2 sisters, Birchie Howard and Vola Combs; 2 brothers, Nordel and Okie Combs; daughter-in-law, Mary Kay Combs.

He is survived by his sons, Chester (Barbara) and Randy Combs and his fiancé, Kay; granddaughters, Krystal (George) Denham and Kari (Joey) Sorrell; great-granddaughters, Kaitlynn and Madison Sorrell; great step-grandson, Devin Denham and family; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Arthur enjoyed working on electronics and repairing things. He worked and retired from Chrysler Corp. after 30 years of service in Dayton. Arthur was a member of House of Prayer Old Regular Baptist Church with special friend and Elder Foster Akers.

Family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a service will begin at 10:30 AM with Elder Foster Akers and Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow the service at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville.
