Annis DeLois "Lois" McKamey, a cherished soul who graced our lives for 93 years, peacefully fell asleep in this world and woke in the eternal embrace of Jesus on January 20, 2026. Born on January 13, 1933, in the serene hills of Franks Creek, Kentucky, Lois was the beloved daughter of Hazel LeMaster.
At the tender age of 17, Lois left her beloved Kentucky to seek a brighter future in Dayton, Ohio, driven by her unwavering commitment to improve the lives of her family. Yet, the spirit of her homeland remained deeply woven into her heart. A true embodiment of a servant's heart, Lois devoted herself to caring for both her family and the residents of her Assisted Care Living Facility, where her nurturing nature shone brightly.
An accomplished cook and an enthusiastic real estate agent, Lois found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in helping others discover their dream homes. Her magnetic personality and boundless generosity left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered; she was known for her kindness and willingness to give of herself selflessly, often ready to lend a helping hand.
Lois' heart overflowed with love for her animals, her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She was the proud matriarch of a large family that will forever hold her memory dear.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Hazel LeMaster; her beloved grandparents, Willie and Edna LeMaster, who raised her; her daughter-in-law, Vanessa Seay; her cherished grandson, Joe Thomeczek; and her six younger siblings, all of whom she deeply missed.
Lois is lovingly remembered by her surviving children, Larry Seay and Cheryl (Steve) Harney; as well as her four grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson—all who carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.
A visitation to honor Lois' remarkable life will take place on January 30, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a service at 3:00 PM at Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum, located at 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45409. She will be laid to rest, surrounded by the peace she so deserved.
In this time of remembrance, we invite family and friends to share fond memories of Lois or leave heartfelt messages for her family in the Guestbook below. Annis DeLois "Lois" McKamey will forever remain in our hearts, her spirit illuminating our lives as we celebrate her extraordinary journey.
