Anne Cecilia Pickle
September 20, 1933 — December 4, 2020
Anne Cecilia Pickle, age 87 of Kettering, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at Oak Creek Terrace. She was born September 20, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Edward and Rose DeBrosse.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Ramon Herald "Pickles" Pickle; siblings, Marie (Paul) Kramer, Ralph (Mickey) DeBrosse, and Herman (Nancy) DeBrosse; grandson, Thomas Detamore, in-laws, Richard Detamore, Pat DeBrosse, Billy DeBrosse, Pat (Sam) Williams, Steve Pickle, Angelo Scibilia and Joe Neff.
She is survived by two daughters, Pam Detamore and Karen Prater; four grandchildren, Mathias Detamore, Andrea Detamore, Jessica (Jeff) Moffitt, and Zachary (Jacqueline) Prater; eight great-grandchildren, Caleb, Katelyn, Jacob, Quentin, Kyndrik, Luciana, Richard, and William; two sisters, Alma Neff and Teresa Scibilia; brother, Frank DeBrosse. She is also survived by her special Chilean son, Hector de la Paz, and numerous close family members and friends.
"I keep the indelible memory of my mother as a happy woman in her daily life, owner of a heart that radiated love, making her capable of loving a stranger like me, and having him as a beloved son. She was and will continue to be a wonderful mother, brave in the face of life's adversity, full of virtues, a believer in God, and capable of making simple things the best and unforgettable. The values that she taught me such as love of family and neighbor, of being pioneers of a civilization of love, I treasure in my heart and mind as the best inheritance that I could receive from this exceptional woman. Love your Chilean son, Hector."
Memorial Gathering will be held from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm on December 27, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering Chapel located at 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, Ohio 45439. Memorial Service will be officiated by Pastor Joel Getts at 5:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Dayton.
